Mary-Ann is a teacher in fine arts and a certified florist. She received both trainings in Holland. Her European background is still very much visible in her designs. In Holland she was very active in her community with floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, including births and deaths and everything in between.
She created many arrangements for dignitaries, the most famous recipient being the Queen of Holland, Queen Beatrix, who visited the region years ago.
In Canada Mary-Ann taught many courses, She taught for many years at UCFV in Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack, and taught the professional flower arranging course at Olds College in Alberta. Now most of her teaching happens in her beautiful studio at home.
Mary-Ann creates arrangements with natural elements, and likes to include native flowers in her arrangements. Wedding flowers are her favorite because being able to add to that happy,beautiful day is a very special privilege.

This year Mary-Ann will teach a weekend class for brides -to-be and her helpers to create their own special flower arrangements, from corsages and boutonnieres to brides maids bouquets and the one special brides bouquet. Look for the announcement on Facebook for the dates!
